This is a reminder that your tamaiti has registered to play basketball this term. Games will begin in week 2 of term 2 and draws will be sent home as they are released. Games are played after school on a Friday, with game times ranging from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. Tauira are responsible for getting themselves to games.
Matua Levon will be coaching the boys team and Maggie (UC sport coach) will be coaching the girls team. Training times will be advised by coaches.
All participants are required to wear mouth guards. For hygiene reasons, it is important that each tauira has their own set. These can be purchased from the Warehouse for under $10. If your tamaiti does not have a mouth guard they cannot play.
There is a $30 cost for basketball as it is played over two terms. This cost can be taken from student activity fees if they have not yet registered for 2 sports this year, or payment can be made to the tari.
